Lower Cape Fear Hospice – Serving Southeastern NC and Northeastern SC – Since 1980

Lower Cape Fear Hospice provides palliative medical care and supportive services that are reasonable and necessary to meet the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of patients and their families. Most hospice patients are served where they live – in their homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes.

Locations

Lower Cape Fear Hospice has locations in 9 separate counties. Their palliative care services are available in Brunswick, New Hanover, Onslow, and Pender counties in North Carolina and Horry County in South Carolina. They also have services available in Bladen and Columbus counties in North Carolina and through Lower Cape Fear Hospice Mercy Care in, Georgetown and Marion counties in South Carolina. For those whose needs cannot be met at home, we offer three inpatient hospice facilities where patients receive round-the-clock, short-term medical and respite care. They offer many types of care including Hospice and Palliative care, grief support and community education.

Or call 800-207-6908 to find out if you or someone you know qualifies for hospice or palliative care. Their services are covered by Medicare and Medicaid as well as most private insurances. Veteran services are also available. They know that veterans have unique needs and Lower Cape Fear offers a series of programs that will best serve our veterans. Lower Cape Fear is a member of the Healing Arts Network (HAN), and they offer program for both the patients and their families. Part of their program is Music Therapy, where harpists play at patients’ bedsides. They also play for visitors in hospice care centers’ lobbies. Other programs available are Massage, Reiki, Yoga and Pet Therapy.
