Owners Richard and Laura Barefoot have owned and operated Railroad Street Steakhouse since October 2010. Richard, retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Laura whose love for cooking, dreamed of opening their own restaurant someday. They wanted a restaurant with a family atmosphere and a quality meal. They are known in Sampson County for their family style dining. Railroad Street serves dinner Thursday thru Saturday and a great country lunch on Sunday.

Eating light is easy at Railroad Street Steakhouse. They have the best salad bar in the area. It is always fresh and has thirty-five items or more. Choose from a large selection of appetizers as well. Try their Onion Petals, their #1 selling appetizer and it’s served with our own petal sauce. If you like fried appetizers, you must try their Lakewood Party Platter. It includes a choice of three items: Fried Chips, Chicken Nuggets, Fried Pickles, Fried Green Beans, Chicken Tenders or Fries. If cheese fries are your favorite, try their signature Railroad Cheese Fries covered with melted cheddar cheese an Jalapeno’s and bacon. The menus selection at Railroad Steakhouse offers choices of beef, chicken, pork, and seafood, a full choice of Simply Simple meals, deserts and a kid’s menu.

All Railroad Street entrees include one trip to the salad bar, yeast rolls and choice of baked or sweet potato, red skin mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli & cheese, choice of fries, sautéed mushrooms or southern fried apples. If you came for the steak, you won’t be disappointed. They have one of the best Prime Rib Entrées in town. The menu has a Rib-Eye, Filet Mignon, and a New York Strip Steak.
